Natalia Romik
Star Dust
Biography
Natalia Romik (born 1983) obtained her degree in Political Science, but currently is practicing as an architect and author of video works, ephemeral installations and performances. Her genuine interest in the glittering and the invisible gave life to the Predator, a creature constructed from mirrors, lights and reflections, last seen in 2009 at the banks of Vistula river in Warsaw.
Project: Star Dust
The squadron of light mirroring, semi-visible, radio controlled airplane models will hover over the former Tempelhoff Airfield. The collective choreography of flying objects will climax in the release of Star Dust, a glittering rain of confetti falling from the sky. It will create an ephemeral momentum, subtle relationship between participants, publics and things which tend to be invisible.
