Visions of Apocalypse
Interactive workshop with Costi Rogozanu and Florin Poenaru
We live in gloomy times. The shortages caused by the financial meltdown look like a blessing in disguise compared to the foretold apocalypse generated by the total meltdown of the planet. The explosion of the housing bubble will seem like nice spring wind compared to the explosion of temperatures caused by the climate change. It’s time to worry? No, it’s time to embrace our fate with gusto. Thus, we invite everyone to an interactive and highly optimistic workshop in order to explore different visions and versions of the apocalypse. Why succumb to the mainstream and highly predictable ones? There are more possibilities out there, real or imaginary, past and present, in literature, music and in film, on the internet and in the ancient wisdom of the Maya eschatology. Bring your own! Apocalypse is not supposed to be boring. After all, if we’re all going to die, let’s do it in style.
