Peter Fattinger

Biography
Peter Fattinger is Assistant Professor for Architecture and Design at Vienna University of Technology, where he is running a design-build studio since 2000. Together with his students, Peter is designing and building architecture in collective teamwork, with an intense hands-on approach through all project-stages, from drawing the initial sketch to fixing the last screw.
The projects range from temporary installations for the urban public space in European cities to permanent buildings, like kindergartens, care centers and orphanages in South African townships and Indonesian disaster areas.
Peter Fattinger was born in Linz / Austria in 1972 and studied architecture at Vienna University of Technology. Prior to his teaching assignment Peter has been working with the Dutch art-collective Atelier van Lieshout in Rotterdam. Additional to teaching Peter is currently collaborating with Veronika Orso and Michael Rieper on various public art projects.
